Somewhere between getting screamed at by an out of control customer and getting passed up for another promotion in favor of someone less qualified than myself, I decided I needed to leave the rat race. Not that I ever wanted to be in it in the first place. It mattered little that I was pretty good at my job, what mattered was that it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life. After years of frustration and complaining about my job I have finally begun to pursue self-employment with a bit of passion.

Along the way I have also grown to love the idea of self-sufficiency and so the purpose of this website is two-fold. To share my journey towards self-employment and self-sufficiency but also to help others take those same steps and hopefully I can learn something from visitors to this website as well.
